Green County Extension Homemakers
What is a Homemaker?
The Green County Homemakers Organization is comprised of a diverse group of individuals with many different ages, interests, and talents in this ever-changing world. We are constantly striving to acquire more efficient and effective skills through methods of research-based information from the University of Kentucky & Kentucky State University Cooperative Extension. As dedicated volunteers, we network with local agencies. We give tirelessly of ourselves to enrich the lives of our families and communities.
The Green County Extension Homemakers welcomes members no matter what their age, race, color, national origin, religion, marital status or sex. Membership dues are $10.00
Why should you join Homemakers? Because you need to do something good for yourself, your family and your community! Everyone is a homemaker, whether you stay at home or work full time. A homemaker’s club is a terrific place to meet people and make new friends, learn new skills and ways to make your life easier and less stressful. It’s a great place to share your individual skills and talents, build your confidence and teach you leadership, too. Did you know it is healthy to do things for other people? It sure is! And we have many volunteer opportunities to appeal to everyone. Don’t worry-we don’t work all the time. We also have lots of fun.
